BABYSITTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So last night i babysat for my sister. She has six kids. Gage, 10, Gabbi, 7, Emi, 6, Liv, 4, Dax, 2, and Sophi, 1. They're SO FLIPPIN ADORABLE!!!!!!! I know that I'm biased...... but they're the cutest kids in the world. Show me one that you think is cuter and I'll prove you wrong. Haha. We played outside, I was the evil witch that would capture them :P, for about an hour and then I made them dinner. After the kids and I made a..... yes it was another cake. hahaha. I made fondant, they chose the colors and we put it on. The cake was blue with marbled blue, yellow, and green polka dots. Then we put their initials on the polka dots. It was so super cute! haha. Right when I was putting them to sleep my mom came over with the movie secretariet. They watched it until about 11 and then their parents got home and they had to go to sleep. It was a fun night. So the other day I attempted the fondant again. First I made a cake and put it in the freezer to chill while i made icing. Then, when the cake was frosted, I started the fondant. It was actually really easy! :) I died the fondant light pink and used that to cover it, then put hot pink stripes. :) I love it!!!! haha. I'm definately doing it again soon :D

AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

So today I tried to make fondant to cover a cake with..... it failed. haha. I've never made it before and I've only ever seen it on the cake shows (I love them!!!!!!). Apparently I made the wrong kind of fondant....? The recipe I looked up said fondant on the top of it but it turns out it was a candy recipe. hahaha. I started to make it and it was SO SUPER STICKY!!! It got everywhere!!! :P I ended up letting it dissolve in hot water an dumping it down the sink. Oh well, I'll try again soon. OH OH OH!!!! And guess what!!? I GOT MY PERMIT!!!! Woo woo!!! I failed the first time I took it but passed the second time... thank goodness. On friday night I drove on the streets for the first time. It about scared me to death. I know this is ridiculous but the whole time I was shaking...and not from the cold. My knuckles were white from gripping the steering wheel so hard and my legs were quivering. haha. I'm a little bit of a dork. My dad stayed calm though and said that I did really good. (not so sure I believe him though...) haha. Also friday night me and Kelcie had a sleepover at my dads house. It was alot of fun. She had a quilt that she was making for an english/personal progress project so we worked on that. After she was done I made a blanket for my dad for his birthday. something that should have takin us three hours ended up lasting about five because we were just goofing off the whole time. :) haha. We stayed up till about 2 30 or 3. So much fun!!!!!!

Catchin Ya'll Up!!!!

Sheesh!!!! I haven't blogged since Halloween!!!! Goodness. It's 2011!! so for Christmas I got a sewing machine! I know I know.... that's kinda a lame thing for a 16 year old to ask for for Christmas. But I love it!!! :) I've made two blankets with it already. Over Christmas break I had two nieces born!!!! My brother Parker and his wife Jershon had the sweetest (chunkiest) little girl on December 7th. her name is Brinley Dee Hancock. Then, three weeks later, My sister Dani and her husband Ty had a precious little girl named Joslyn. We call her Josy. She's SO teeny tiny!!!! :D I love them!!! It's the best. now I'm an aunt to 8 children. All of them adorable. Today is my dad's birthday. He's 48 years old!!!! the old man! (shh ...... don't tell him I said that!) Haha. On Saturday I had a Horseless rodeo at my grandpas farm. It was fun but not something I'd repeat. We had an egg toss, a goat milking race, a chicken chase, a bag race(I failed at that), a wheelbarrow race, and..... I think that's all. Oh wait! we also had a wagon ride. That was probably the best part. My sister Kari and her family came towards the end. Oh I forgot! New years night (not eve) I had a sleepover with my cousins Haleigh and Chandler. It was SO much fun. we went and saw the movie tangled (it's now my favorite movie ever) then we went to Haleigh's house and hung out. at like 9ish I'm guessing, we painted all her windows with window chalk. it was fun. then we watched the season finally of Greys Anatomy. I t was So creepy!!! It was the one where there's a shooter. after we decided we needed a cool down movie so we watched Charlie. At the end of that movie we all had a good long cry. It was a productive night. haha :) that's all.... The end :D
